Discovery Kids

The Volcano Explorer is an interactive tool made for kids.  It allows them to explore volcanoes from the outside and the inside.  It shows the different types of volcanoes, and the plate tectonics that drive volcanism.  It also lets the students build their own volcano, manipulating different factors that affect the type of volcano and eruption it will have.  This site has great visuals and simple explanations making it ideal for younger students.
